Windows File Protection Cannot Restore an Operating System File That It Is Helping to Protect after You Install Oracle Application Suite (816537)

SYMPTOMSAfter you install the Oracle Application Suite version
11.5.7 program, one or both of the following behaviors may occur:
CAUSEThis behavior may occur if both of the following conditions are true:
- An installation CD is present in the CD-ROM drive.
-and- - Windows cannot
restore the protected operating system file that WFP helps to protect from that installation CD.
If a CD-ROM is in the drive when you modify an
operating system file that WFP helps to protect, and the CD-ROM is an installation CD but not the correct
one (for example, not the Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM), the Windows File
Protection feature cannot restore the operating system file that it is helping to protect.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, remove the installation CD from
the CD-ROM drive.MORE INFORMATION
