XL: When You Change the Case of Characters in a Formula, the Change Is Not Retained (814561)

SYMPTOMS

When you change the case of characters in an Excel formula, the change is not retained.

For example, if you initially type the formula =TEst in cell A1 and then press ENTER, this incorrect case formatting is retained even after you retype the formula as =TEST.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, close the workbook without saving it, and then reopen the workbook.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
