RESOLUTION

To completely remove ISA Server 2000, run the Rmisa.exe utility that is included in the ISA\I386 folder on the ISA Server 2000 CD-ROM.

Note: When you run the Rmisa.exe utility, you are prompted to remove all the ISA Server 2000 components. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Important Before you follow these steps, back up your ISA Server 2000 configuration information by using the Isainfo.vbs file. For information about how to obtain the Isainfo.vbs file, contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS). For information about how to contact Microsoft PSS, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
  1. Stop the ISA Server 2000-related services. To do this, stop the Microsoft ISA Server Control service in the Services Control Panel utility. This also stops the following dependent services:

    Microsoft Firewall
    Microsoft Web Proxy

  2. Run the Rmisa.exe utility that is included in the ISA\i386 folder on the ISA Server 2000 CD-ROM.

Note When you are prompted to remove all ISA Server 2000 components, press Y.
