FP2002: Cannot Log on to New User Account That Was Created Using a Script (813733)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to log on to a new user account that was created through a script, you may receive the following error message:

The web "http://www.microsoft.com" isn't accessible. It may be located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you used a custom script to create a virtual server, and then you used Owsadm.exe to add users or roles to the FrontPage Web.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, do one or both of the following:

Restart Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

Run Check Server Health:
1. Right-click your virtual Web.
2. Click All tasks, and then click Check Server Extensions 2002.
3. On the Check Server Health tab, click Repair for the settings that you want to repair.
  
  Note Microsoft recommends that you click Repair for Reapply file security settings.
