PRB: "Setup Error 825" Error Appears When You Install Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams (811679)

The following error messages may appear while you install The First Edition of the A+ CD-ROM:

Setup Error 825

Object ID 935 Your setup files may be damaged.

Object ID 955 Your setup files may be damaged.

Setup Parse error in Initialize Pass

-then-
Object ID 1335 InstallWinPermFile Object: Bad INF Key Data Value

-then-
Object ID 1340 InstallWinPermFile Object: Bad INF Key Data Value

-then-
Object ID 1345 Your setup files may be damaged.

-then-
Object ID 1350 Your setup files may be damaged.

CAUSE

To see if you have a copy of the A+ Exams that is installed on your computer, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Programs and then look for the Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams program.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove the existing Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams application and then install the application again.

If you have the locked version from the McGraw-Hill book currently installed and you want to install the CD-ROM with all 600 questions unlocked, you must first remove the old version and then install the new version.

To remove and then reinstall the software, follow these steps:
  1. Click My Computer, click Control Panel, and then click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Click Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams and then click Add/Remove.

    This opens the Total Seminars A+ Exams Installation Maintenance window.
  3. Click Remove All and then click Yes to remove the Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams application.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Reinstall the Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams application by using the installation media.
If the application is already on your computer and you want to open the application, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Programs.
  3. Click Total Seminars A+ Certification Exams.

    This opens the program.
