XADM: "COM Error, 80040e37, IDispatch Error #3127" Error Message Is Returned When You Use PFadmin to List Public Folders (810711)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Public Folder Administration Tool (Pfadmin.exe) to list public folders on your Exchange 2000 Server, you may receive the following error message one or more times in the returned results:
COM Error, 80040e37, IDispatch error #3127

CAUSE

This problem may occur if your public folder names contain any of the extended characters from the Scandinavian language character set.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, rename the public folders that have extended characters from the Scandinavian character set in their names.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The Public Folder Administration Utility (Pfadmin.exe) is included in the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Resource Kit. This utility does not support the use of Scandinavian characters or extended characters in public folder names.
