Smart Display: Friendly Display Name Is Listed Instead of Standard Domain User Name When You Add a User (810286)

SYMPTOMSWhen you add new users to your Smart Display from your local
network domain, the list of user names is populated with a Windows XP friendly
display names instead of the standard domain user names.CAUSEThis issue occurs because Smart Display is designed for use
with non-domain networks, and it therefore uses the friendly name version of
the domain user name.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, manually enter the domain user name
and other domain information when you add a new user to your Smart
Display.STATUS Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
