Smart Display: PPTP Session Disconnected If You Switch from a PPTP Session to a Local Host (810283)



The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

If you follow these steps, the Smart Display disconnects the Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) session:
  1. Use Remote Desktop from the Smart Display to log on to the host computer.
  2. Connect to another domain through a PPTP connection through Microsoft Connection Manager.
  3. Connect to your host computer.

CAUSE

This is a known issue with remote sessions under Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Connection Manager.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
