SUMMARY

If you try to filter on the Resource Names column, all the tasks that a specified resource is working on may not show.

To view all of the tasks to which a resource is assigned, place the Resource Sheet in the top portion of the Project screen and place the Task Sheet or Gantt Chart in the bottom portion of the Project screen.

By selecting a resource name in the Resource Sheet, all the tasks that the resource is working on will automatically be shown in the Task Sheet or Gantt Chart.

The Task Sheet or Gantt Chart can then be printed or manipulated in any manner.

MORE INFORMATION

The Resource Names column is limited to 80 character in Microsoft Project for Windows versions 1.x and 256 characters in Microsoft Project for Windows version 3.0 and above. If the number of characters in the Resource Names column for a specific task has exceeded these limits, ellipses (...) will be shown at the end of the list of resource names. If the specific resource that is being looked for does not show up in the Resource Names column, the filter is not able to determine that the resource is working on that task.
