SUMMARY

The font may appear small when you copy a spreadsheet range into a Microsoft Works for Windows Word Processor document using the Paste Link command from the Edit menu. This problem may occur because the area copied from the spreadsheet was too large to fit in the margins of the Word Processor and was scaled to a smaller size. Another reason may be that you used the Picture command from the Format menu to reduce the size of the linked spreadsheet information.

MORE INFORMATION

When you copy information from a spreadsheet, including Microsoft Works or Microsoft Excel, to a Works Word Processor file, Microsoft Works shrinks the spreadsheet information to fit within the Word Processor margins. As a result, the font will look smaller. The solution is to delete the spreadsheet object from the Word Processor file, manually select only the information you need from the original spreadsheet file making sure it is arranged so it will fit within the margins, and recopy the information.

To check if the size of the object has been reduced in the Works for Windows version 3.0 Word Processor, first select the spreadsheet object, then from the Format menu, choose Picture/Object and check the Scaling Height and Width settings. If these settings are below 100 percent, the object was too wide to fit within the margins and was scaled. In Works for Windows version 2.x Word Processor, first select the spreadsheet object, then from the Format menu, choose Picture and check the Scaling Height and Width settings. If these settings are below 100 percent, the object was too wide to fit within the margins and was scaled.
