SUMMARY

If Microsoft Works for Windows is instructed to print a database in form view with fields that have been placed or extend past the right margin, one of the following messages will display:

Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a for Windows 95

Some fields, labels, or objects are past the right edge or bottom of the page and may not print. Continue?

Works 3.0

Field or object off page. Continue?

Works 2.0

Form too Wide: Print Anyway?
Then, after you click OK:
Fields too Wide for Page and May Not Print
If you click OK to print, Works will print only the fields that completely fit on the page.

Solutions

  1. Find the field extending beyond the right margin line (this will show as a broken line running vertically down your page) and move the field back to the left side.
  2. Find the field extending beyond the right margin line. Click Field Size from the Format menu, increase the height of the field and decrease the width. This will allow the field to wrap to two or more lines.
  3. Change the printer orientation to landscape. Make sure the orientation of the printer matches the orientation of the document.
