SUMMARY

When you paste data into the Form View of Works for Windows, the data is entered into the first field, regardless of which field is active. If you paste more than one field, the contents are entered into consecutive fields starting with the first field.

NOTE: This behavior does not occur in Microsoft Works 2000.

MORE INFORMATION

Change the database to the list view by clicking List from the View menu. Place the pointer in the record and field where you want to enter the copied information and select Paste from the Edit menu. The contents will be entered into the records below and the fields to the right of the active pointer.

WORKAROUND

To paste the data where you want it, paste the field while in the list view of the database.
