Database Self-Referencing Formula Returns Zero After Save (79492)

SYMPTOMS
A self-referencing formula in the Works for Windows database will
evaluate to zero after you save a file with the File Save command and
then continue to enter data.
WORKAROUND
- Select the field containing the zero balance.
- Press F2.
- Press ENTER without changing the contents of the field. This will
force the database to recalculate the field to correct the problem.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows
version 2.0. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here as it becomes available.
