SUMMARY

The Microsoft Works for Windows database report will include an extra record in the report output produced by the Edit menu's Copy Report Output command. This extra record is the first record in the database. The first record is only included if you apply a query to the database that does not include this record.

The Microsoft Works for Windows database report will also include an extra record in the report output if the report is created from a single hidden record.

The report output viewed from the print preview is correct. This record is only included through the Copy Report Output command. Also, any SUM, AVG, COUNT, or other statistics produced by the report will be correct.

WORKAROUND

After pasting the report output into the Word Processor, delete the first record, and the remaining report will be accurate.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows version 2.0. This problem was corrected in Works for Windows 2.0a.
