OPTION 1: Launch Works from the Command Line

  1. Verify the Works for Windows directory is in the path.
  2. From the command prompt in MS-DOS, type

    msworks

    and press the ENTER key. This will load Windows and go directly into Works for Windows.

OPTION 2: Run Works Automatically when Windows Starts

  1. From the File menu, choose Run, type the following, and press ENTER:

    win.ini

  2. Locate the RUN= line and add a reference to Works, as follows:

    RUN=c:\msworks\msworks.exe

OPTION 3: Load Works for Windows as Minimized Icon when Windows Starts

  1. From the File menu, choose Run, type the following, and press ENTER:

    win.ini

  2. Locate the LOAD= line and add a reference to Works, as follows:

    LOAD=c:\msworks\msworks.exe
