SUMMARY

Works can only link to a single database when printing form letters or labels. Below are some examples of why you may want to link to multiple databases with an explanation of what you must do to allow Works to print additional fields or records.

MORE INFORMATION

Example 1

If your form letter needs to be sent to addresses that are in multiple databases you can combine the databases by copying all of the records into a common database file, or use the instructions for your version of Works.

Works 3.0 and Works for Windows 95:

  • For each database, on the File menu, click Print.
Works 2.0:

  • For each database, on the File menu, click Print Form Letters.

Example 2

If your form letter requires information from multiple databases in each record, then you must manually combine the two databases into one by copying and pasting the fields into a single database file.
