Changing the Printer in Printer Setup in Works for Windows (76262)

SUMMARY

The Printer Setup command in the File menu of Microsoft Works for Windows lists the Windows default printer. To change from one printer to another active printer, run the Windows Control Panel to change the default printer.

NOTE: Works for Windows 2.0a lists all of your installed printers in the Printer Setup dialog box.

MORE INFORMATION

File Printer Setup only shows the default printer. You cannot select a new printer from within Works for Windows.

To change the default printer, do the following:

  1. From the Windows Control Panel, select the Printers icon.
  2. From the Installed Printers list box, select another active printer.

    In Windows 3.0, if the printer is not active, select it and choose Active in the Status box.
  3. Once the printer is active, double-click the printer, or select the printer and press ALT+D to make it the default printer.
The new default printer will now appear under File Printer Setup within Works for Windows.
