SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Works does not support underlining of spaces at the end of a line. White space can be underlined only if it is between characters.

WORKAROUND

To make an underline appear at the end of a line, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

  1. Click the Underline button on the tool bar.
  2. At the end of a line of text, press TAB to create an underline.

Method 2

  1. From the Format menu, choose Tabs.
  2. Enter desired Position Of Tabs, if needed.
  3. Select Leader Option 3 (underline), and then click OK.
  4. At the end of a line of text, press TAB to create an underline.
