To configure a document so that the first page is unnumbered and the second page starts as page 1, use the following steps for your version of Works.

Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a

  1. Place your cursor in the header or footer of the document.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Page Number.
  3. On the File menu, click Page Setup. Click the Other Options tab.
  4. Select No Header On First Page, or No Footer On First Page, as appropriate.
  5. In the Starting Page Number text box, type 0 and click OK.

Works 3.0

  1. From the View menu, choose Headers & Footers.
  2. Type &p in the Header Or Footer text box.
  3. Select No Header On 1st Page or No Footer On 1st Page, as appropriate, and press ENTER.
  4. From the File menu, choose Page Setup. Choose the Other Options tab.
  5. In the 1st Page Number text box, type 0 and press ENTER.
