Macintosh QuickBASIC Error Using HP "LaserJet IIP" Chooser (72678)

SUMMARY
The Hewlett-Packard Chooser document "LaserJet IIP," which is supplied
with the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIP, is not compatible with
Microsoft QuickBasic versions 1.0, 1.0a, and 1.0b for Apple Macintosh.
When printing from Microsoft QuickBasic (for Apple Macintosh) to a
Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIP, a "System error ID = 03" will occur if
the Chooser document supplied by Hewlett-Packard is used. This error
will occur in either a program using LPRINT or PRINT# commands, or
when printing a program listing using Print from QuickBasic's File
menu.
To work around this problem, use the standard Apple LaserWriter
Chooser document instead of the LaserJet IIP Chooser document when
printing from QuickBasic.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in QuickBasic versions
1.0, 1.0a, and 1.0b for Apple Macintosh computers running on System
6.0.4, 6.0.5, and 6.0.7, and associated Finder versions 6.1.4, 6.1.5,
and 6.1.7. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here as it becomes available.
