XL: Printing Nonadjacent Areas on One Sheet (68511)

SUMMARY

If you set a print area that consists of multiple nonadjacent areas, but you want to print the areas on one page, Microsoft Excel will print each separate area on a separate page.

To work around this behavior, hide the columns and rows between the areas and set a single, continuous print area to print everything on one page.

In certain cases, this workaround will not work. For example, if you have one area to the right of another, and you want these areas printed one above the other, the typical workaround would be to copy the second area below the first and set a single print area. However, if your column widths do not align correctly, this workaround will not work.

Microsoft Excel Version 5.0 or Earlier

Use the following steps to take a picture of the second area and place it below the first:

  1. Highlight the second area.
  2. Click the Camera tool on the Utility toolbar.
  3. Place the insertion point in the appropriate position below the first area and click. A picture of the second area will be placed below the first.
  4. Set a new print area that contains the picture.
