MORE INFORMATION

The setup for the ODBC 3.0 Driver manager occurs in two phases. During the first phase of setup, you are prompted for a response to the following questions:

  • Are you sure you want to install the ODBC 3.0 components? They cannot be uninstalled.
  • Do you accept the terms of the Preceding License Agreement? If you choose No, Install will close. To install you must accept this agreement.
If you click Yes at both of the prompts, the Setup files for the ODBC 3.0 Driver Manager are extracted from the Odbcmin.exe file, and a second Setup program is started. The second Setup program constitutes the second phase of the setup.

When you run the Odbcmin.exe file using the /q switch, the prompts for the first phase of setup are skipped. However, you still have to respond to the prompts that are normally presented during the second phase of setup.
