SUMMARY

When using the Text command, you cannot set the Shadow for the Text.

To set the Shadow when using the Text tool, do the following:

  1. Click Font at the top of the Paintbrush screen.
  2. Choose the Select Type Style command.
  3. At the Select Type Style screen, click Shadow and then OK.
  4. Click Font again; this time choose the Select Font File command.
  5. You should now see a list of five font files from which to choose. Click the font that you will use, then click Open.
  6. Go to the bottom of the Paintbrush screen to the color palettes. Press the SHIFT key while you click the desired shadow color. If the background is white, don't chose a white background because the shadow will not show up. Choose a color other than the current background color.
  7. Click the Text tool. Enter the text. Click the left mouse button and drag it to the area where you would like the text printed. Release the mouse button and the text and shadow should appear.
