WD: Page Break in Table Even When "Keep Lines Together" Active (62314)

The paragraph formatting option Keep Lines Together does not prevent page
breaks between table rows.
CAUSE
In Word, table rows are treated as separate paragraphs. Keep Lines Together
is designed to prevent a page break between the lines of a particular
paragraph.
WORKAROUND
Using Keep With Next Paragraph in a table that is less than one page in
length will prevent a page break between the rows of the table.
To keep the rows of a table together, follow these steps:
- Select the entire table by holding down the OPTION key and
double-clicking any cell in the table.
- On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then select the Line and Page
Break tab.
- Click the Keep With Next Paragraph option and click the OK button.
If the table is small enough to fit on one page, yet is too large to
fit on the same page as other text or graphics, the entire table will
move to the next page. Word will not put a page break between the rows
of a table.
If the table is larger than one page, Word will move the entire table
to the next page and put a soft page break between the rows of the table
where the natural page break occurs.
