Works: Copying Formulas in the Database (60683)

SUMMARY

When you copy a cell containing a formula from a field in the database, the value of that cell gets copied, but the formula does not get copied.

To copy a formula in the database, do the following:

  1. From the View menu, choose List.
  2. Select a cell with the formula.
  3. Go to the beginning of the formula in the formula bar by pressing F2 and then HOME.
  4. Insert a double quotation mark in front of this formula, then ENTER.
  5. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
  6. Go to a cell in the field to which you want to copy.
  7. Works for MS-DOS: From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

    -or-

    Works for Windows: From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
  8. Go to the formula bar by pressing F2, and then HOME.
  9. Delete the double quotation mark. Press ENTER.
  10. From the Edit menu, choose Clear.
  11. Return to the original cell.
  12. From the Edit menu, choose Clear.
