Null strings inside a safearray data type become empty strings when they are passed to a Java COM+ component (332026)

SYMPTOMS

When a Java client passes a safearray data type that contains null strings to a Java Microsoft COM+ component and then COM+ returns this safearray data type back to the Java client, the null strings become empty strings.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because of a bug in Microsoft COM+ 1.0.

RESOLUTION
