FIX: Memory is not released when you close forms and reports in Access 2002 (331989)

SYMPTOMS

When you close forms and reports in Microsoft Access Project, the memory may not be released, resulting in a memory leak. When the memory leak is large enough, the performance level may drop significantly, and your computer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This problem occurs if Access does not release the memory that is used by forms and reports when these objects are closed.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

This problem is corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
