Ink on a PowerPoint Object Is Deleted
When you try to save a slide show after you add ink to the slide
show in a PowerPoint object that is embedded in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet,
the ink may disappear.
Pen Menu Is Removed in the PowerPoint Slide
After you remove the Office XP Pack for Tablet PC, the standard
pen commands in the PowerPoint
Slide Show menu are missing.
To work around this issue, reset the
short cut menus:
- Start PowerPoint.
- On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then tap Customize.
- Tap the Toolbars tab, and then tap Shortcut Menus.
- Tap Reset, and then tap OK.
- Tap Close.
Inking Does Not Work in Presenter View on Computer with Multiple Monitors
When you try to configure PowerPoint to use the Presenter View
feature on a computer with multiple monitors, you may be unable to draw ink in
the Slide Show view.
To work around this issue, disable the Presenter
View feature:
- Start PowerPoint.
- On the Slide Show menu, tap Set Up Show.
- Tap to clear the Show Presenter View check box, and then tap OK.
Ink Is Not Saved
Under the following conditions, ink changes may not be saved:
- You view a slide show that contains unsaved ink.
- You quit PowerPoint while the slide show is
running.
- You save the ink changes, but do not save the
presentation.
To work around this issue, tap
Yes when you are prompted to save the presentation.
Ink Disappears After Screen Rotation
When you change the screen orientation during a slide show to
which you have added ink, the ink may not appear.
To work around this
issue, save the ink, and then rotate the screen.
Slide Show Animation Erases Ink
When you try to show animation in your slide show, all ink
changes disappear where the animation screen was.
To work around this
issue, switch to another screen, and then switch back to the slide show to
redraw ink.
The Ink Dot Pointer Does Not Appear if the Mouse Pointer Is Not Visible
If the mouse pointer does not appear while you are using Slide
Show view and you draw ink, the Ink pointer may not appear.
To work
around this issue, move the mouse before you switch to Ink mode to make the
pointer visible.
Cannot Deactivate Canvas
When you activate a canvas in PowerPoint and apply a slide
design, you may be unable to deactivate the canvas.
To work around
this issue, press ESC to deactivate the canvas.
Cursor Is Wrong in Slide Show View
During the first change into Slide Show view, you may be prompted
to install Speech Recognition files. If you tap
No, a mouse pointer may appear instead of an ink dot pointer.
Pen Pointers Add Different Ink
When you add ink to a slide show by using one pen and leave it
running, and then add ink to the presentation with a different pen, the pen for
the slide show appears as one type but may add ink of another type.
To work around this issue, close the current slide show before you add ink to
another presentation with a different pen.
