SYMPTOMS

DLLHost.Exe quits unexpectedly (crashes), and then a new process is created.

CAUSE

The internal page allocator is returning a block of memory that is not writable. Instead of returning a pointer to an object, the internal page allocator is returning a pointer to the v-table of an object.

RESOLUTION
