"Invalid page fault" error message when you use an Outlook 97 form in Outlook 2000 (328997)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook 97 forms in Microsoft Outlook 2000, you may receive the following error message:
Outlook has caused an invalid page fault in module unknown.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when you do the following:
  • You use a form that contains a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro that uses Data Access Object (DAO)/ Open Database Connectivity (ODBC).
  • You use a second form that contains a Formula field.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
