When you run Microsoft Project Server setup on a computer that runs Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 3 (SP-3) installed, you may experience a rollback of the setup or you may receive a fatal error message.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.

When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

After you download and extract this Transform file, follow these steps:
Note Use a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with SP-3 for your language.
  1. Create a temporary folder on your hard disk to store the Setup log files (for example, C:\Temp).
  2. Copy the contents of the downloaded zip file to your hard disk (for example, to drive C).
  3. Type the following, at the command prompt, and then press ENTER:

    setupsvr.exe transforms=c:\projectserver.mst sqloutfile=c:\temp\sql /L*v c:\temp\setuplog.txt
