The Wireless Connection Icon Shows "Unavailable" After Your Computer Resumes from Standby (328647)

This article was previously published under Q328647 SYMPTOMS The icon in the notification area (at the far right of the
taskbar) for a wireless connection may show the connection as "Unavailable"
after you resume your computer from standby, even if wireless connectivity is
available. CAUSE This problem occurs because the media connect action is not
sent to the Wireless service correctly. RESOLUTION Disable and then enable the wireless network adapter. To do
so, follow these steps:
- Start the Network Connections tool in Control Panel. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and
then click Network Connections.
- Right-click Wireless Network Connection, and then click Disable.
- Right-click Wireless Network Connection, and then click Enable.
