XCON: Cannot Use the RunAs Tool with the Exchange 2000 Migration Wizard (328406)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Exchange 2000 Migration Wizard, if you use the RunAs tool, the migration does not complete successfully.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you are not logged on using an account that has administrative credentials for that Exchange 2000 server. You cannot use RunAs as a substitute for this requirement.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, log on to the server or workstation using an account that has the appropriate permissions when you migrate users using the Exchange 2000 Migration Wizard.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
