After you migrate public folder content from Exchange Server to Exchange 2000, you may have to verify that all content that was in the public folder has been replicated to Exchange 2000.

Use one of the following options to get an item count of the public folder contents:
  • Use Microsoft Outlook to view the number of items before migration from Exchange Server, and then compare the item count in Outlook after the contents have been migrated to Exchange 2000.
  • Use Outlook to count the items before migration from Exchange Server, and then view the folder list on the M: drive to compare the number of items after the migration.
