SUMMARY

The Visual Basic 5.0 runtime (Msvbvm50.dll) is not included with Microsoft Windows Server Beta. Although you can still install the runtime with a Visual Basic 5.0 Setup package, the Visual Basic 5.0 runtime is not present by default.

MORE INFORMATION

Generally, users do not have to change anything if they already build deployment packages for applications. The Setup Wizard automatically includes and installs the latest version of the Visual Basic 5.0 runtime from the development computer. By not including the Visual Basic 5.0 runtime, only those few small and simple applications that can just be copied to the client and expected to run may fail to do so.
