BUG: When You Export a Virtual Catalog in ElementCentric Format, the XML File Is Not Formatted Correctly (326765)

SYMPTOMS

The ExportXML method has a CatalogXMLFmtEnum parameter that permits you to export a catalog in different XML formats. If you set that parameter to export the file in an Element Centric format (cscFmtElementCentric, value 0), the XML file that is created does not import properly.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, export the catalog as an Attribute Centric formatted file. The parameter name is cscFmtAttributeCentric and the value is set to 1. This is the preferred format.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000.
