BUG: You Cannot Set Large Wallpaper Files (326618)

SYMPTOMS

If you try to set a large wallpaper file, you may receive a Shell32.exe error message.

RESOLUTION

Do not try to set wallpaper files on your Pocket PC device that are larger than 200 KB.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Copy a large wallpaper file to the device. For example, copy a 200 KB .gif file in 640x480x16bit color format.
  2. Tap and hold the file in File Explorer.
  3. Choose Set as Today Wallpaper.
  4. Select Start/Today.
