PRB: Power Applet for Pocket PC 2002 Displays Truncated Text When You Use an AC Adapter (326402)

SYMPTOMS

The Power applet in Pocket PC 2002 displays truncated text when you use an Alternating Current (AC) adapter. Because of the truncated text, the "Recharging State" label appears as "Rechargin."

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the font that is used to display the "Recharging State" text and the "Charging" text in the Power Settings box is too big.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Turn on the mobile device without using the AC adapter.
  2. Tap Start, and then tap Settings. On the System tab, tap Power.
  3. The main battery status bar (labeled "Battery Power Remaining") is displayed.
  4. Connect the AC adapter.
The Power applet displays "Rechargin."
