BUG: Incorrect Error Message May Return When You Try to Enable the Drillthrough Option for a Virtual Cube (326077)

SYMPTOMS

You may receive the following error message if you try to enable the drillthrough option for a virtual cube when the drillthrough option is not enabled in some source cubes:

Virtual Cube 'xxx' is invalid. Drillthrough columns must be specified for at least one of the underlying cubes when drillthrough is enabled for a virtual cube.

You receive the error message even if the drillthrough columns are specified for all the source cubes.

WORKAROUND

To work around the problem, enable the drillthrough option for all the source cubes before you enable the drillthrough option for a virtual cube.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
