BUG: ErrMsg: "...Remove Mail Messages from the IMAP/POP Account?" (325643)

SYMPTOMS

After switching the ActiveSync Sync Options for Inbox from Desktop Sync to Server Sync and back a few times, you receive this message on the Smartphone screen:

You have chosen to use Active Sync to handle your email, therefore your IMAP/POP account has been disabled. Would you like to remove mail messages from the IMAP/POP account?"

The choices displayed are New and Menu. No Yes or No choice appears, and the soft keys do not dismiss the message from the Smartphone.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, press the Back button, and then press Home to display the Inbox.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
