PUB2002: Publisher Stops Responding When You Use the Default Novell Printer (325499)

SYMPTOMS

If you open an existing publication or try to create a new publication in Microsoft Publisher 2002, you may receive the following error message:
Publisher has encountered an error and will be shutdown.

The following is the error signature that you receive after you click the link:

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the default printer that you are currently using is a Novell Printer that has more than 72 characters in the name.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

This problem is corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
