Session Summary



This session provides a basic introduction to the concepts of linked servers and distributed queries in SQL Server 7.0. We will discuss some of the common problems customers encounter, and methods for troubleshooting and resolving those problems.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded February 1, 2000 and presented by Arun Gundlapally and Keith Reimer. Arun Gundlapally has been a Support Professional in the Microsoft SQL Server Support organization for one and one-half years. He has supported SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0, specializing in SQL Server replication issues. Keith Reimer is a Technical Lead, and has been in the Microsoft SQL Server Support organization for almost four years. He has supported SQL Server 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0, specializing in performance, cursor, and server internal issues.
