Session Summary



In this session, you will learn about the Systems Management Server (SMS) 2.0 client discovery and installation processes. You will hear how the SMS 2.0 client components interoperate. In addition, you will learn about both the required and the optional SMS client components, and how they fit together. You will also find out about client maintenance and configuration.

This is a Level 300 session that was recorded January 26, 2001 and presented by Wally Mead. Wally Mead has been with Microsoft for eight and one-half years. He started in the training organization, where he delivered training on LAN Manager. He began working with SMS in 1994, and has been involved in the development and delivery of all SMS training courses for Microsoft. He now works for the SMS product group in the Early Adopter Program (EAP) group, and provides training for EAP members.
