Access Violation Occurs When You Try to Hide Access to Internet Explorer 5.5 (325205)

When you try to hide access to Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1) after you install Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Windows 2000, an access violation (AV) occurs. You may receive an error message similar to the following:
explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because SP3 for Windows 2000 does not correctly update the following Internet Explorer 5.5 or Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1 file:
Mshtml.dll.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0 before you install SP3 for Windows 2000.
