The "Clear List" Button in Start Menu Properties Does Not Become Unavailable (323208)

SYMPTOMS

When you clear the list of frequently used programs on the Start menu, the Clear List button does not become unavailable to indicate that the list has been cleared. To clear the list of frequently used programs, right-click a blank area on the taskbar, click Properties, click the Start Menu tab, click Customize, and then click Clear List. Although the Clear List button does not become unavailable, the list of frequently used programs on the Start menu is cleared.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This issue does not occur when you use the Classic Start Menu feature in Windows XP.
