"Installer Is No Longer Responding" Error Message When You Remove SFU 3.0 from Windows 2000 (322722)

When you try to remove Windows Services For UNIX 3.0 (SFU) from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000, you may receive the following
error message:
Installer is no longer responding.
CAUSE
The Windows Installer engine does not process incoming windows messages
frequently enough. Because of this, COM calls are not processed in a timely manner.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain and install the latest service pack for Windows 2000.
