PRB: Source Lines Beginning in Columns 73-80 Not Ignored (32323)

If a source line in an application begins in columns 73 through 80, the
compiler generates correct code for that line, even though the source code
should be ignored according to the ANSI standard.
CAUSE
By default, the M editor converts every eight spaces into a tab character
to save space in the source file. However, this process causes problems for
the compiler because the compiler does not correctly interpret the tab
characters.
RESOLUTION
To address this problem, place the following statement into your TOOLS.INI
file:
Because this statement prevents the M editor from converting spaces to
tabs, characters past column 72 are correctly ignored.
