The "AD Domain Controllers by Domain" Report Does Not Work or Returns Incorrect Results (319475)

The "AD Domain Controllers by Domain" report in Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) may return a "There are no domain controllers in the selected domain(s)" response. Or, the report may run, but may show computers that are not domain controllers.
CAUSE
These problem can occur for either of the following reasons:
- The domain controllers for the Active Directory-based domain have been moved out of the default Domain Controllers organizational unit to another organizational unit.
- Computers that are not domain controllers are located in the Domain Controllers organizational unit.
WORKAROUND
Make sure that the correct domain controllers for the domain are maintained in the Domain Controllers organizational unit.

Currently, the Microsoft Access "AD Domain Controllers by Domain" report relies on an LDAP query that specifically returns computers in the Active Directory Domain Controllers organizational unit. If domain controllers are moved to a custom organizational unit, they are not located by the query.
Additionally, if computers that are not domain controllers exist in the Domain Controllers organizational unit, the report incorrectly lists these computers.
