SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the mouse to resize a text box, the text box moves instead. This problem occurs when you insert a text box onto a Web page in Microsoft Picture It! Publishing, point to the resize handle of the text box, and then drag the handle to change the size. In some cases, you receive an error message similar to the following:
Picture It has encountered a problem and needs to close.
NOTE: If a Dr. Watson log is created, the log may show that this error occurs in Ppedit6.dll and Mmedit6.dll.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, delete the navigation bar, create the text box, and then add the navigation bar. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Picture It! Publishing.
  2. Click Pick a Design.
  3. Click Blank Project, and then click Web Pages.
  4. Double-click E-mail project.
  5. Click the navigation bar.
  6. In the Navigation Bar Options pane, click Delete.
  7. Create and edit any text boxes that you want.
  8. In the Document Options pane, click Add something, and then click Navigation Bar.

NOTE: When you delete the navigation bar, any changes that you made to it are lost. This workaround solves the resizing issue when you create a text box, but this workaround is unacceptable for editing purposes.
