XCCC: Non-ActiveX Clients Cannot Join Conference (315957)

SYMPTOMS

Non-ActiveX clients cannot join a conference if all the octet in the client IP address are three digits (that is, in a xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx format). When a client tries to join the conference, conferencing clients do not get an invitation to join the conference.

CAUSE

The Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) does not invite the client to the conference if the client IP address is in the format described in the "Symptoms" section.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3.
